The bgm PRO Racing shaft with 54 mm stroke is the maximum for racing or ambitious road tuning. In contrast to a normal shaft, the cheek diameter has been increased in order to achieve the necessary, higher overlap on the crank pin and thus additional security against rotation despite the increased stroke. This minimizes the risk of twisted cheeks and welding with the usual disadvantages is not necessary. The motor housing must be spindled to Ø88 mm to accommodate the shaft in the area of the crank webs. Anti-twist, stable cheeks High-quality 105mm long connecting rod with 5mm thickness Good lubrication holes and slots Reasonably dimensioned thrust washers Lower pre-compression Favorable deflection angle on the conrod bearing Thick cone stump of the ETS models A huge advantage is the high-quality 105 mm long connecting rod with neatly designed lubrication holes and now 5mm thick. This is eight millimeters longer than the standard connecting rod of the 125 series. The advantages of the longer connecting rod are a more favorable deflection angle and the resulting lower friction of the piston in the raceway. This increases the performance and results in a lower pre-compression, which is especially true with the new Reso systems such as. the fire magic from Ludwig and Scherer works great. The transition from the transfer ports to the motor housing can also be designed to be much more flow-efficient, which results in better performance. We recommend
