The BGM FASTER FLOW SI carburetor is based on a brand new SI26 / 26 E Dell'Orto / Spaco carburetor. With a diameter of 25mm, these already have a significantly larger area than a SI24 carburettor. In principle, this type of carburettor can be drilled out further, but then the guidance of the throttle valve and its sealing function are no longer 100% guaranteed. We therefore limit ourselves here to a measure that has been successfully tested in practice. The SI26 is being revised by us so that it also meets the high demands of a heavily modified engine. In order to meet the increased fuel consumption of a tuned engine, the carburetor was optimized and a modification was made to the through-hole between the shimmer chamber and the nozzle assembly and in the float chamber inlet. Usually only 1,5mm in diameter, the FASTER FLOW carburettor already has a 2,5mm bore. This means that it can also permanently supply very large main jets with proper fuel. We also use a spring-loaded float needle. This prevents excessive pressure on the sensitive rubberized needle tip and can compensate for vibrations very well. These modifications lead to a significantly improved supply of fuel, so that even with very powerful exhaust systems there is no lack of petrol.
