Dial gauge holder to be able to determine the exact top dead center of the piston. Very important to be able to adjust the ignition point precisely. To do this, the cylinder head is removed and our dial gauge holder is placed across the piston and fixed with the cylinder head nuts. The holder can be mounted on all engines whose stud bolt spacing (seen across the piston) has a hole punch.
A well-functioning electronic ignition is heavily dependent on whether the trigger surfaces of the pole wheel are precisely aligned with the induction lugs of the pickup on the ignition base plate.
