High quality ignition base from BGM. Specially developed for converting contact-controlled motors to maintenance-free electronic ignition. The base plate has been modified to fit the engine housing built before 1977 and has a longer cable branch so that the ignition base plate can also be perfectly mounted on older vehicles. After the conversion, the former 6 volt on-board network has a powerful 12 volt light output. The formerly self-regulating electrical system is being converted to a reliable and bulb-friendly regulator control (e.g. with BGM6690). With its high wattage, it already ensures a very good light output even when idling, which does not break even when the indicators or additional power consumers are used. Maintenance work, as is usual with contact ignition, is not necessary. When converting from a contact ignition to this base plate, another fan wheel, a voltage regulator and a CDI must be used. A possibly standard old voltage regulator, like the series ignition coil, is no longer required.
