These are our BGM PRO Superstrong Lambretta front brake cables. They have a strong Ø2,5mm inner cable diameter and a firmly pressed cable holder on the outer shell. Both improve the braking process considerably. Innocenti made a similar modification in May 1966 with the last models of the DL series which were equipped with a disc brake. The cable thickness has also been increased. The original cables we measured were 6 mm on the outside and 1,5 mm on the inside Play in the abutment, which means that it is not exactly angled to the cable stop. It is only pulled into position by the increased tensile stress during the braking process. This eats up a good part of the braking performance and unnecessarily increases the distance to work on the brake lever. SOLUTION The BGM PRO Superstrong outer shell has a fixed abutment for the fork side. The cable casing is already neatly guided in the fork's cable stop. The way to work is shortened, the response behavior and the feedback from the brake are significantly improved. NOTE The outer shell fits most series 7 light switch housings.
