BGM PRO shaft sealing rings made of high-quality and ethanol-resistant (E10) FKM / Viton® * CORRECT HEIGHT (20x62x7MM INSTEAD of 20x62x6.5MM) The coupling-side BGM PRO shaft sealing ring has an overall height of 7mm instead of the 6.5mm usual with other manufacturers. The BGM PRO shaft seal is based on the original old model from Piaggio. Anyone who dismantles an old original engine will notice that a shaft seal with a height of 7mm was also used on the clutch side. FLOATING CRANKSHAFT The crankshaft bearings of the old engines are 'floating'. This means that the bearing is not fixed and that it can be moved axially (sideways) in the motor housing. This happens, for example, under load due to the axial force of the helically toothed primary drive. If the crankshaft shifts too much, this can affect the ignition as well as the actuation of the clutch. STOP LIMITING The only side stop limit in these motors is the shaft sealing rings. The height of the shaft sealing rings thus determines the existing 'air' between the bearings and the shaft sealing rings themselves. The tolerances in the old engines are so large (e.g. due to engine sealing paper with a greater thickness than then) that even with the 7mm overall height it is still more than sufficient Distance is present.
