The springs contained in the large primary gear serve as shock absorbers. They protect the gear unit from high load peaks. If they are too soft in relation to the engine torque, they are completely compressed and pass on the peak pressures unfiltered to the transmission. The reinforced springs included in the set counter the higher torque of modern engine concepts with a correspondingly higher spring rate. This means that the series springs no longer block and prevent load change peaks from being transferred to the clutch or the motor housing. This means that the lugs on the clutch linings last significantly longer, the risk of the original springs breaking is eliminated and the gearbox is protected. Suitable for the original primary drive. Ideal addition to our SC Cosa clutches. Reinforces the primary drive. Protects the entire drive train, especially the clutch.
