The bgm PRO insulation wool consists of a highly heat-resistant ceramic-based mineral wool. The exhaust manufacturers often use inexpensive insulation material to minimize production costs. The result is often silencers that no longer deserve this name after a short period of operation. So this wool burns, ie it baked into a solid lump that no longer has any soundproofing properties. Long-term remedy here is our bgm PRO insulating wool, which is a high-quality replacement for the original wool. It comes pre-packaged for a silencer filling, suitable for the most common silencers in the 50-70cc range. The dismantled silencer should be thoroughly cleaned before filling with new wool. The main focus should be placed on the perforated pipe. Under unfavorable circumstances, the perforation of the pipe tends to clog and, despite being filled with new insulating wool, would result in a still loud silencer. Therefore simply pierce the perforation with a slim screwdriver. The amount of wool should always be chosen so that it is strong enough not to be pushed away by the pressure of the exhaust gas, on the other hand so loose that good sound insulation is guaranteed.
