Precisely manufactured shift pin for all largeframe transmissions from approx. Year of construction 1984 - Vespa PX, T5, Cosa, Motovespa TX. Always used with a flat type switch cross. If a non-flat switch cross is installed in your engine and a washer is also installed between the switch bolt and the switch cross, the bolt shown here cannot be used. You still have the old type of gearbox that needs a different shift bolt. TIP: If the switch arm in the switch detent keeps tearing off you should take a closer look at the switch bolt. Usually the small plate is bent and this then clamps the switch arm when it is turned and tears it off. A bent plate is usually caused by the incorrect installation of the main gear shaft. This was then not pulled into the camp but struck from the switch latch side. NOTE: The shift pins have a left-hand thread. To loosen the bolt move it clockwise!
